Béton ciré Pro is a waterproof, two-component, colored cement-based finish. This exclusive finish is very durable for both interiors and exteriors. Its velvety, stone-like texture is also characteristic.
Variety of styles
This high-quality plaster, thanks to its diverse appearance options, fits into both sleek, minimalist designs and more classic or rustic interiors.
In any color
Our Béton ciré Pro is available in over 100 colors. Choose one of the standard options or customize this concrete-look plaster to your favorite color using RAL, NCS, or other coding.
Due to its strong and waterproof properties, Béton ciré Pro is suitable for a wide range of applications and projects. These robust properties also make it a popular finish for bathrooms, including shower areas. It can be used instead of—but certainly also in combination with—tiles and natural stone, for example.
For a flowing transition
Béton ciré Pro is also an excellent choice as a finishing floor for all types of interior spaces and as a patio finish. Such a combination creates a beautiful and seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
Decorative for residential and commercial spaces
Béton ciré Pro also makes an eye-catching, decorative plaster for walls, particularly in living rooms and prestigious offices and other commercial spaces. This high-quality plaster is a strong, durable, and practical alternative to plaster, paint, and wallpaper.
Beton Ciré project? Choose an experienced specialist!
A result that perfectly showcases every detail starts with the right substrate and professional preparation. Our advice: hire an experienced plasterer to carry out your Beton Ciré (Pro) project.
Plenty of reasons to choose a finish with Béton ciré Pro!
Béton ciré Pro is available in over 100 colours, both standard and custom-made. Our pigments are liquid and mixed directly into the resin, but we can also supply them loose upon request.
Custom Colours
We also produce custom colours upon request, using a code such as RAL, NSC, or F&B. These colors are always an approximation. The result may vary depending on ambient temperature, humidity, and the method of application, plastering, and polishing.
Sample Books
For specialists and architects, we have a sample book (5 x 5 cm samples) and a sample box (7 x 16 cm samples) available.
Besides being ideally suited for wet areas, Béton ciré Pro is also highly sought after for decorative applications. This is due to its endless variety of looks. Take a look, for example, at this living room, designed by Cabana Interior.
Guidelines for the correct application of Béton ciré Pro are available in our Technical Data Sheets. Experience with Béton ciré is always recommended. A list of specialized installers can be found on our Plasterers page.

Literally translated from French, where it was developed, it means “waxed concrete.” This wax, as a protective or finishing layer, is now only used for decorative applications. For most projects, an impregnation and coating are the appropriate finish.
Béton ciré Pro is a so-called mineral product. Minerals are the main constituents of the earth. A mineral can be defined as a naturally occurring, inorganic solid with a specific chemical composition.
Béton ciré Pro consists of two components: cement and a binder (resin including color pigment).
It is therefore not a ready-to-use/single-component product.
The original béton ciré, as developed in France, consists of two components: cement and a binder, which chemically react to create a strong plaster mortar. This is colored with (liquid) pigments and applied in two coats.
A single-component or ready-to-use product (sometimes sold under the name “béton ciré”) is usually a synthetic material and never a cement-based product, as cement must always react with a second component, such as water or a binder.
A two-component product is generally stronger and harder than a single-component product.
The béton ciré plaster layer is waterproof, but any mineral (e.g., cement-based) product is porous, so a sealing or protective layer must be applied if it needs to be water-repellent, for example. This can be achieved with an impregnator and coating. This creates a completely waterproof and water-repellent plaster finish.
This is possible, preferably on stone or Béton ciré Pro surfaces (patio or exterior wall) so that the cement-based Béton ciré Pro can bond well. Waterproof wooden surfaces are only suitable as a base if they are under cover and therefore not exposed to rain, frost, and sun year-round.
Certainly, the tiling must first be assessed to see if it is sufficiently crack-free and solid. If so, the tile substrate is prepared with a primer and a special leveling layer. Then, the Béton ciré Pro can be applied.
It’s rare, but if a crack or dent develops in the béton ciré plaster layer, it can always be locally filled or touched up due to its excellent adhesive properties. If necessary, the topcoat applied afterwards can be locally colored to eliminate any color differences.
We do not recommend electric underfloor heating, but only water-based underfloor heating (central heating) with pipes embedded in the sand-cement layer. Before applying the béton ciré, a “firing protocol” is always followed (consult your contractor/specialist about this), and a low-tension undercoat is applied over the sand-cement layer. The béton ciré is rarely applied directly to the sand-cement layer.
No finishing product is scratch-free, but our coatings are two-component products, making them extra durable. For floors, we always recommend placing felt pads under chair legs, etc., and placing a doormat in areas directly adjacent to the garden. This helps preserve the polished Béton ciré Pro in the long term.
There’s no set guideline, but we recommend reapplying the final topcoat (two-component coating) every x years. For floors, for example, every 4 years, and for (bathroom) walls every 7 years. Cleaning can be done with chlorine-free or bleach-free cleaning products.
We have 88 standard colors to choose from. However, colors can also be supplied upon request, such as RAL/NSC/F&B/Pure & Original, etc. These are created based on a (paint) sample, and we always make a test sample first.
Microcement and Béton ciré Pro are the same type of product. Both microcement and Béton ciré Pro consist of two components: cement and a binder (resin) that are mixed together, and a pigment is added to create a colored plaster mortar. Some (companies) use the term microcement; in our country, it’s called Béton ciré Pro
Indoors: on any desired surface, from floors and walls to ceilings and stairs. It can be used for both decorative and finishing work in wet areas.
Outdoors: on patios, walls, and other objects, provided they are based on (concrete) stone. It can also be used on furniture made of sheet material. Covering and protection from rain and direct sunlight are required.
Yes. Béton ciré Pro is waterproof and impermeable, but not 100% water-repellent. Any mineral product, such as gypsum, lime, and cement, is essentially porous and can therefore absorb moisture. Cement, however, is waterproof.
The cost of materials, including labor, depends on the number of square meters, the type of surface, the type of space, and the complexity of the project. Consider, for example, the number of corners. Based on accurate drawings and a site visit, our specialist will prepare a customized quote.
In principle, a béton ciré floor, wall, or ceiling will last a lifetime, provided a new protective layer is applied for maintenance every 5 to 8 years.

Yes. With the right preparation and application, microcement is very suitable for wet areas and sanitary facilities
No. A béton ciré/microcement mortar is thicker than average plaster, so it’s plastered/smoothed rather than poured. Plastering and smoothing results in the characteristic look of a manually applied floor. However, microcement is a commonly used alternative to poured floors.
Béton ciré Pro is cement-based, making it a (inherently porous) mineral product. Quartstone is epoxy-based, making it inherently impermeable. See also our blog post about the differences between Béton ciré Pro and quartstone.
High-quality béton ciré is characterized by its two-component composition: cement and resin. The cement and resin are of high quality, ensuring excellent workability and durability of the result.
Béton ciré Pro /microcement offers a wide range of styles, from coarse rustic to smooth, almost marble-like, with a wide variety of options in between.
We have been working with béton ciré since 2006, namely since we were the first in the market to import the product from France and introduce it in the Netherlands.
